Literary Grants

High up on Hasefer’s “to-do list” is to assist aspiring authors who have worthy manuscripts and ideas, in getting their projects off the ground and into production. With the high cost of book publishing, versus the relatively small Jewish market, many authors and even publishing companies cannot afford to put out fine Jewish literature because of the cost/risk factor.

As a result, many wonderful projects never reach fruition, and the losers are us – the Jewish readership. Merit-based literary grants to approved authors would help get quality books out to the Jewish public – books that might otherwise never see the light of day! Your participation in this program assures the continued growth and literary vibrancy of the Jewish populace, the education of the next generation of readers (and leaders!), writers, students, teachers, children and adults, scholars and laymen alike.
